What I enjoy most at a pastry shop is when someone tastes my dessert and a look of satisfaction appears on their face. I graduated from a hotel school, majoring in guiding. My internship at school led me to a travel agency, where I worked as a tour salesman for 5 years after school. When the second maternity leave came, I tried to bake my first cake. Although the cake tasted great, the appearance was rather repulsive. I started to enjoy playing with cake decoration and gradually I created nice birthday cakes for family and friends. My daughter started school and I threw myself into confectionery at a professional level. I studied with great confectioners. I enriched my knowledge with large wedding cakes, French confectionery and last but not least with typical Czech First Republic desserts. I have been working as a professional confectioner for five years. The door to JK House was opened for me in 2021. And I hope for a long time.

My parents chose the pastry shop for me, with the understanding that I would always have a good time with food. I wanted to be a hairdresser. But over time, I really liked the pastry work and have been working in the field for 25 years! When Mrs. Kateřina approached me with an attractive job offer in the First Republic company, I began to look forward to new challenges and the next great sweet years with my profession.
